Component-resolved diagnostics (CRD) is a modern blood test that looks beyond 'which food or pollen' to the exact protein component you react to — giving a far more precise picture of your allergy.
Why the Detail Matters
Reacting to different proteins within the same food can mean very different things. Some components are linked to severe, whole-body reactions; others only to mild, local symptoms or harmless cross-reactions. CRD helps tell these apart.
How It Helps You
- Estimating the risk of a severe reaction more accurately
- Avoiding unnecessary food restrictions
- Explaining cross-reactions, for example between pollen and certain fruits
- Guiding decisions about immunotherapy
What's Involved
CRD needs only a routine blood sample. It's especially useful in complex food allergies, unclear test results, or when planning treatment.
When allergies are complicated, CRD adds the detail that turns uncertainty into a clear, personalised plan.
